A Little Inspiration: Autumn

Okay, call me cliché but I really do love the fall.  It’s sweater season (in theory… in reality it’s been 80 all week, but go with me here) the apples are at their best, the leaves are turning and the holidays are about to begin.

Fall is a time for savoring rich flavors, rich experiences, and gorgeous rich colors like the ones above.

{Real Weddings} Matt & Leah

Not only are Leah and Matt beyond gorgeous, this bride and groom are also obviously a ton of fun.

Wondering what the heck I’m talking about? Just scroll a little. There’s kind of no way you’ll be disappointed.

Oh, and just in case you’re not already completely in love? Here’s a little story…

As a teenager, Leah warned her parents that when her wedding day came… she was going to need one very specific thing.

A bouncy castle.

And since her dad isn’t one to break a promise… well…

Could you possibly love them more?

Here are a few more details from Matt and Leah’s talented photographer, who captured the day so beautifully…

It was a cloudy overcast day, but you would have never known due to the pure joy that these two had for each other. These two were literally just jumping and giddy the whole day. They had been engaged for just under a year and were more than ready to finally make a commitment to each other. From the bouncy castle that her dad promised her from when she was a kid, to sneaking onto a rock quarry overseeing the Fraser Valley it was an exciting day! The day wrapped up at The Secret Garden at Woodbridge Ponds where the reception was decorated with vintage details and chandeliers!

Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing, Luke!

{Real Weddings} Buddy & Autumn

Oh you guys… the gorgeous simplicity of this wedding really gets me.  A gorgeous location, a stylish bride and groom, and the most joyful guests… there is truly nothing better, and nothing more you need.

Except maybe a little neighborhood bike ride.  Tell me — when have you ever seen a cuter group shot?

I can’t thank Buddy and Autumn’s photographer enough for sharing these shots.  They really made my day!

Alosha & Stephanie’s Artsy Engagements

Stephanie, an art teacher, and her fiancé Alosha really wanted their engagement shots to represent who they are as a couple, and what better idea for this creative pair than to stage a painting party?

I just love Cassie and Troy’s classic, perfect garden wedding.  Set among the towering trees in Lodi, with just the perfect pop of pink, it’s as pretty as can be.

Guess who’s coming to the party!

Her name is Coral, and she’s the adorable new addition to Enjoy Cupcakes.  You might know her predecessor.

The second I spotted a picture of her floating around on Instagram a few months back I knew I had to contact Amber, who had already agreed to provide my wedding cake, to ask if she could bring her along.

… the little pink trailer was too cute to pass up!

Thank you, Amber, for sharing these gorgeous shots!  I’m so excited to have Coral join the party.

And, of course, I couldn’t be more excited about those cakes!

So That’s Where The Snow Went! Tracy & Nicola’s Italian Engagements

I know I’ve been all about the sunshine lately, but I just couldn’t pass up this gorgeous winter wonderland of an engagement shoot.

And, as it turns out, while I was taking afternoon strolls in the sun, my parents were welcoming mass amounts of snow for the first time in… ever?  Well, maybe since ’69.

Growing up, I really only remember visiting snow.  If it fell on our house it was usually just in time to melt.  I think there might have been one time when I was able to build a very small snowman.  But this year, apparently anything is possible, because this week my childhood home saw a full eight inches of snow.

So, while you’re missing the snow that you might not have received this year, tell me, is this the prettiest winter shoot you’ve ever seen?  I think it is.

A Little Inspiration: Pretty Pastels

There is something so classic about a pretty pastel wedding.  Add in a few rustic touches and I’m sold.  For me, this look comes close to perfect.
